Bio
After graduating from The Art Center College of Design in 1981, photographer Ken Collins came to New York and began his career shooting editorial portraiture. His worked has appeared in ArtNews, Avenue, Newsweek, New York Magazine, The New York Times, Inc, Orion, Lenswork, to name a few. Combining his passion for portraiture and theater he released his first book in 2006 titled In Their Company, Portraits of American Playwrights, Published by Umbrage Books. The Independent Publishers Association awarded the book a silver medal in 2007.

Ken Collins' work is held in the permanent colliection at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. and in many private collections.

Ken currently teaches at the International Center of Photography in New York City.
